You should be able to find a transport company to bring it out to San Diego. My cousin just had a truck shipped to San Francisco from VA, and it was only 900 bucks. When you figure up time and gas, sometimes it's worth it to ship the vehicle. I'm keeping an eye out for a rust free chassis to send my dad, as IMHO it'd be cheaper to fix up than his 70 or 66 as he wouldn't have to replaced body panels, just clean it up and paint it.
