This is one of the questions I was asking the experts at Parma. The type3 is NOT supposed to have the generator brush cover. It is related to cooling air flow and dispensing of the "dust" from the brush. Good thing I found this out AFTER I finally found a cover. I will just put it on at the shows for looks.
