<x-charset iso-8859-1>I have used a bottoming tap for this. This was the recommended method for removing bushings from the end plate of old Lucas generators. Thomas E. I have a bolt that's juuust the right size -- I can thread it into the bushing, and it kind of taps as it goes. When it bottoms out as you turn it, it then starts to pull the bushing. Worked for me twice, anyway! I have a piece of Al bar stock whose end I turned down a bit to match the i.d. of a new bushing. I use this to drive the new one in. -Greg ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/ ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/ </x-charset>
