I was just curious how many (if any) people on the list only got into welding and/or auto restoration in general AFTER they got their VWs, specifically so they could do restoration work on their cars? In looking at the group's various individual websites, it's obvious how much time, care and talent is being put into restoration/maintenance. Do people need to have been into bodywork/engineering for years before taking on things like this or is study, practice and TLC enough? Thanks...
