I do not recommend going across Montana in the middle of August with 30+
year old cars. Going across Nebraska is bad enough, but in Montana, it
can be 100 miles between towns. At least across Nebraska on I-80, it is
only about 30-40 miles between towns.
I have crossed Montana in the summer, but it was a near new pickup with
A/C.
