I put a 914 [t4] 2.0 using 2.0 d-jet in my 69 squareback last fall it works 
"well"  not perfect, but good.  Probably better than carbs for the same 
investment.

I have decided to shoot for a type 4 motor for my square. I would like it to
be fuel injected but I don't want to fork out the cash on the new way
expensive stuff and the way the Bus FI is set up seems to bulky to fit it
under the hatch. Is there a way to modify the type 3 injection to work on
the larger motor? I don't know if it will be a 1.8 or a 2.0 , depends on
what I find.
