<x-charset iso-8859-1>Jim, Thanks for the immediate response. Even on a weekend, this list cranks. When I do turn the key from ON to START, the generator lights do dim a little bit while the key is turned. Is it possible that the battery has enough juice for the interior lights and dash, but nowhere near enough to turn the engine, much less even make a sound? -----Original Message----- From: Jim Adney To: type3@vwtype3.org Sent: 3/2/02 6:09 PM Subject: Re: [T3] Help...it wont start On 2 Mar 2002, at 17:39, Tom Falcone wrote: > Here's the scoop. Given your observations, unless the dash lights go off when you turn the key to START I'd say that the problem is in your ignition switch. If the dash lights go off when you do this, then there are lots of possibilities. It would be a bad connection somewhere, or a nearly dead battery. - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
