I am restoring a 65 squareback (bought in Germany. I have the oil chnge coupons for the first 3000 miles.) After I had rebuilt the engine and re installed I started redoing the wiring. On the main wiring harness coming into the engine compartment I have the usual wires plus a double wire that ends in a female clip. Where does this wire go to? None of my manuals list it or mention it and I have stumped three volkswagen mechanics with this. Could it be an extra hook up for an accesory? Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks.
