Today I took a look at the brain and the FI wiring harness. I repaired any damaged wires / connectors, and checked to make sure each wire was making a good connection to the right pin or connection. Everything is accounted for, and the harness is labeled and looking good. I even labeled the pin numbers and their "destination" on the computer. In the next while I will be making a wiring diagram of the whole system. > What year is this? We should also make sure > that the parts in your car are the right ones for that year or you will need to > figure out which year brain you NEED as opposed to which one it originally > came with. > > For starters, send us the year of your car and the number of terminals on > your throttle valve switch (2, 4, or 5.) > Yeah, looks like I'll have to give the system a total going over. I want to make sure everything else is good before I decide to get another computer. By the way, my car is a '70 auto, and the throttle switch has four terminals, connected to pins 17, 20, and 9 at the computer, and 30 (ground). Thanks a bunch for the help, I will let you know what is happening and if I need another computer. -Rich ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
