Re: [T3] Too low to jack up?

<x-flowed>My owners manual says that when lifting the car on a 4-point garage lift, it should be done on the rear torsion tubes and the very front of the floorpan. When using a floorjack, it should be lifted at the torsion tubes, both front and rear, it says.

Another tip, if the car is too low, get a couple feet of 2x4", cut an angle at one end of them, and drive the car onto these first. It'll gain another 2" (obviously) so you have room to slide the jack under the car.

I find the torsion tube to be the best place to hold VW in the rear. My

ALWAYS USE JACK STANDS TO WORK UNDER A CAR! Or a lift, if you're lucky.

ewhat low in the rear. I need to

replace the battery cable, therefore, I need to get to the
starter. I was going to get some jack stands. Where should
I place the stands? Thanks.

P.S. If you can't tell, I'm fairly new to cars (or at
least working on them).
