<x-charset iso-8859-1>Hey Toby, it's 7pm here in the east, and I'm just checking my mail, so if I'm a late responder, sorry. I had the problem you describe, mainly popping on decel, and I tracked it to 2 things. The carbs were slightly loose at the heads, and further, the throttle shaft bushings were shot, causing MAJOR air intake. Bought a new set of Weber 34 ICT to replace the worn out Dells, and all has been good since. Good luck, Joe ----- Original Message ----- From: "ICBM Webmaster" <icbm@icbm.org> To: <type3@vwtype3.org> Sent: Monday, July 08, 2002 10:13 AM Subject: [T3] Diagnostic help: Loud popping...¿valve problems? > Here's the story: > Me and my girlfriend are merrily driving along in my baby.
