Re: [T3] Wont start again, But I'M starting to hate FI

<x-charset iso-8859-1>You just need to get in the right frame of mind (easy to say in the AC).
First off... all the FI wires are numbered at each end... and if it were a
wiring problem wiggeling things should at least bring temporary
resolution... wiggle, knock, one thing at a time while someone tries
starting the car... or do this THEN try to start each time. Are you SURE
the ignition system is OK?? when its dead, open the cap, remove the rotor,
rotate the engine till the points are closed, put the center coil wire 1/8"
from ground and manually open the points with a screwdriver while Holding
the INSULATED end... this will manually operate the ign system.

FI... there is relatively little that will cause a No start if the pump is
running
1) trigger points
2) Ground
3) ECU
4) power relay
5)Head temp sensor

Thats about it... Though they are very reliable Id be interested in swapping
the control unit out when its dead... there could be a thermal intermittant
in it.

IF you pump is working I believe the control unit must have power... Jim
could confirm this, if this is not so Id look at the wires on the starter
which power the FI. You have a thermal intermittant... that is related to
engine temperature... and is on or near something of large thermal mass
which is why it takes so long to return to operation. My 3 biggest thoughts
are:

1) head temp sens... you checked
2) Power feed wire on the starter
3) Ground on the case
