Thanks to everybody for the suggestions so far, it has been helpful. I pulled the spark plugs today, and 1 & 2 weren't firing at all, and 3 & 4 were both very black. I have put the old spark plugs back in again, in case it is something wrong with the new ones. I also took the top off the left carb, but couldn't find anything wrong in there. I am going to go and try it now with the old spark plugs, hopefully it will go. BTW. Is it possible to get the spark plugs in and out without taking the carbs off?
