Hi.... I for one am a firm believer in the Pertronix points replacement system. I have them now on 2 GM products, my Ghia, 2 Air Cooled Bugs, and 2 Squares. Even if you have your points in PERFECT shape... this mod will give you a 1% to 3% power boost, not to mention set and forget it trouble free installation. Many buy other systems that work like the Pertronix and have failures. A Type 3 club out of Whittier, California had many failures with the EMPI system and removed them. Compufire is another with a fairly high failure rate. At this time, I have not had ANY failures with the Pertronix pointless kits in any that I have installed over the past years.
