<x-charset iso-8859-1>Sounds great, but I think you may want to change the distributor, here's were your problem was at and why: >>>>I may be on to something, the dizzy in the car has the number one mark in the upper right position when looking down on it. The shaft alignment has got to be ok, because the dizzy would not fit any other way.>>>> The other distributor you have should work, I believe the AG is a 72/73 type 3 distributor: The dizzy that I found in the back seat,if installed would have the #1 in the lower left position. The one in the car is bosch part #011,vw #205 H.The one in the back seat is bosch #027,vw #205 AG,could this be the deal? -----Original Message----- From: Wuzmop@aol.com [mailto:Wuzmop@aol.com] Sent: Tuesday, January 15, 2002 11:56 AM To: type3@vwtype3.org Subject: Re: [T3] I DROVE IT!!!!!!!(was Running on 1 cylinder? Still...) YAHOOOO!!!!Thanks to the genius of all you guys I got to drive her for the first time (after 3 months of headaches)! I reversed the plug wires to be like the dizzy that was in the back seat...The dizzy on the car has #1 in the upper right position, the spare that was in the car when I bought it has it in the lower left position. I routed the wires like the would be on the spare dizzy and it fired right up...an oil change and tags WE"LL BE ON THE ROAD TO PARMA (well maybe I won't go that far in it just yet)!!! I could tell by going around the block that it is a whole different monster than my ghia or bugs I've had.
