let us start from scrach. firing order is 4123 clockwise on the dist. looking into the engine compartment #1 top right just below it is #2, top left is #3 under it is #4.To drop the dist drive shaft the timing pulley must be at TDC the #1 valves(I&E) must be closed and on #2 cyl the exhaust valve must be open(depressed)and if you check #1 piston will be at the top of the compression stroke when all this is right install the dist drive shaft as it calls for in the bentley book, with this done the dist will fit properly into the space for it and the plug wires can be installed right on the dist cap, this should make the world right, good luck Phil __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
