<x-charset iso-8859-1>in fact, 40mm IDFs are too SMALL for 1600s. The proper sizing of a carb is dictated by the venturi size, not the throttle body size. 40 IDFs have a 28mm venturi in them out of the box, I run 32s on 1600DPs. Dual 44s have 36mm venturis (too big for 1600s). So, this week I decided to offer either carb in a 32mm venturi size, and we have dropped our pricing on dual carb kits. We are one of the only guys that offer dual 44s and 48s for T-3s.
