....I'm not saying anyone should
"subsidize" Type 3's, I'm merely stating that most
retailer's prices for Type 3 specific parts are
outrageous . They go far beyond covering their
"overhead" on these low demand/high production cost
parts. I just wish retailers like ISP West would quit
trying to "gouge" Type 3 owners because of the
so-called "rarity" of our cars. If I want nice parts
for my Fastback, I don't want to pay an arm,leg AND
spleen for them. I don't mind paying a fair markup,
but I don't want to just bend over and take it up
the tailpipe either!! I guess with prices like that,
these retailers are creating their own demise. It's
too bad that sources for our parts will disappear as
well. Maybe a good idea would be unified Type 3 groups,
such as this one, to state this theory to these
retailers. Possibly we could come to a middle ground.
