It will fit - only one version of the rear screen for all Fastbacks (apart
from one without the de-froster).  Only thing is many of them have lost
their elements through corrosion.  The resistance needs to be less than 10
ohms to be of any use (14Watts power) , and originally (at a guess) would
have been about 2 ohms (70 Watts).  You can see how much less effective the
10 ohm element would be.

If the resistance (undo at least one connection to check) is OK, remove it
and install it very carefully.  Don't bend the glass even if it's toughened
(don't know if it is in the USA) as the element may crack - cut the rubber
seal off and lift out.
If some of the element wires have breaks, you may see where by breathing
gently on it with it powered up.  Small regions of clearing mistiness shows
where the resistance is greater and therefore where the breaks are.

Really, all Fastbacks should have had this device; they mist up readily.
