There's a good blast of air that comes up that valley. Curious what Bob has said - it's always worse on my side too, but that's the opposite side from his! Something to do with the camber maybe (assuming it's not simply that the driver notices it more his/her side). You get the most splashing when the water runs forward, as on braking. Maybe it does come out of the seal channel not off the panel surface... Dave.
