If everything else was working this should not be hard to get started, but once 
you get it running be aware that you need to time it according to the special 
72 instructions in the Bentley. Nobody else gets it right.

You should verify that the FI is alive and well. Does the pump run? Do you hear 
the 2 clicks when you turn the key ON? Can you hear a series of clicks in the 
engine compartment when you push the throttle down with the key ON?
