What is unique (in my experience) is that the Type 3 automatic will only start in neutral, and NOT in park. I only just got this feature to work, so every time I start the car I forget and try to start it in park. If you try this you turn the key and nothing happens. All other automatics I have ever driven, which have been modern cars, will start in neutral or park, but nothing else, obviously.
