The disassembly will of course include exterior trim, doors and lids, and
glass. Doing brakes, steering and suspension will be simpler with the body
off. (But if the car has taken any significant hits, you probably won't want
to separate the body.) Engine will also be on a parallel track with the
body. Send the chrome out as soon as you have it removed, it can take a lot
of time, and carefully document all parts you send out -- it's not unusual
to get back fewer than you sent. That's another point: If you have the
discipline (I didn't), it can be very helpful to document your disassembly
step-by-step in photos and diagrams.
