I always advocate putting the MUCH safer dual system on it. But... the easy way is to convert to front disc brakes at the same time... with a fasty this is already the case so its EASY!... Just swap out the master and replace the front lines... the dual should bolt right on if Im not mistaken. For those of us with the 65 and earlier cars youd lose the wide 5 if you go to disc's... you can just change out the master and leave the front drums but since the wheel cylinders displace less fluid than the calipers your pedal will be firmer... perhaps not a problem... but the front rear proportioning will be wrong.... Id be very careful here, has anyone done this?? I may try in a few years with my 65 Square (pedal is currently PERMANENTLY rusted to the floor!) but I may need to add a porportioning valve of some sort.
