The type 3 uses the same front disks as the Beetle and Ghia. By two piston, you mean one on each side? I think the Type 3 caliper is larger than the Beetle and Ghia, the disk pad is certainly larger than the type1 pad. The type 3 caliper can be fitted to the type1, but I would cetainly never recommend the opposite! There is *quite* a size difference in the pads!
