If your car works fine on 6-volt, I'd suggest you leave it that way; do you really want to mess with the flywheel for an electrical "upgrade"? You can install a 12-volt stereo by adding a second 6-volt battery in series, and just trickle-charge it periodically (or swap the two) when it goes low. On the other hand, there might come a time during other major work that the effort to go 12-volt is justified. Don't forget the bulbs, especially those dash warning lights! And it should be pointed out that you can keep your 6-volt wiring harness if it's in good shape, since it is designed to handle double the current of a 12-volt system. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
