To find #1, set TDC on the pulley, check the valves on #1, they should be closed, now look at #2's valves the exhaust valve should be open, if it is not open, go around to TDC again, at this point we should be back to TDC, #1 valves closed and #2's exhaust open. this is set to run the plug wires now, either turn the dist to line up #1 or move the plug wires.
