<x-charset iso-8859-1>I connected a fresh battery today, and while the motor will turn, it won't turn over all the way. It seems to hang at one particular point. If I drop it into 4th gear, then rock the car, it will pop past that point, afterwhich I can crank the motor again until it hits that sticky spot. The motor hasn't run for years, so i accept that trying to get it to run now is a bit of a gamble. I still need to rebuild the carbs and finish some of the wiring before it will kick over. In the meantime, I was thinking that the sticky spot is caused by varnish or something similar in one of the cylinders. I was also thinking that removing the spark plugs, pouring some Marvel Mystery oil into the cylinders, then letting it sit while I did the other mechanicals might fix the problem. Any thoughts?
