.7 ohm could be a problem. You have no noise suppresion!!!! The Bosch
wire were solid copper, but the ends had a 1000 ohm noise suppression
resistor built it. The rotor should have 3-5K resistance also. 
All solid wires are fine if you are carburated, and don't want to listen
to the radio.
