Re: [T3] Drain holes and door limiter.

Hi T3ers,

I have been wondering where the legendary drain holes were on my doors as
both are seriously rusted out at their bottoms. I have scraped all the gunge
and rust out of the frame/skin joint and can see no evidence of any drain
holes. Mine is a late model (72/73) Fastback and I'm wondering if the drain
holes were left off or smaller or in a different place on later doors. At
the moment the only drainage is through the rust holes- in the skin of the
passenger door (left) and through the frame on the drivers side. Strange
that they rusted through differently! I think I'll get some new doors and
I'll check that they have the holes first.
I also found a couple of tiny drain holes in the rear window frame which
allow water to drip into my trunk via the trunk lid mechy guard things
because my rear window seal is seriously shot. Nice! I think T3D have new
repro seals and once I've checked the quality this will be a priority to
fit. In the mean time I have 2 strategically placed bowls.

All the best
