If a motor has enough endplay to feel when grabbing the pulley and push-pulling in and out, is it case splitting time? Can this be helped by shims alone, or do the shims only compensate for minute changes? Finally, can excessive end play cause clutch chatter (like when you have worn tranny mounts or oil on the clutch?)
