If you still have the FI gas tank, there will be 2 fittings on the bottom of the tank. The one on the drivers side is the suction. It is held in the bottom of the tank by a hex nut, and can be unscrewed. This tube has a copper/brass screen on it, and if your tank has had water/dirt in it, it will be plugged. I just went through this on my '71 fastback. My tank was so dirty, that I ended up finding a different tank. If you can, find a local radiator shop that will "boil out" your tank. There are kits that you can buy for the "do it yourself". POR15 people have one listed for about $50. -- Russ Wolfe russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
