I had the same problem a few weeks ago and am still determining the problem, I got spark, and fuel but it died after heating up just like yours, does it start again after cooling down? I checked the points and they were completely closed in #1 position. And the timing was way off. This was after it had been at the shop and they timed it without setting the point gap. Now I have not yet determined that this is the problem, but after discussing it with my mechanic this could have contributed to the stalling and not starting problem. I don't know if this helps but you may what to check these basic things along with spark and fuel. Best of luck! Jason T. My car died on me just as I was getting off the freeway the other day. It was just as if it had no fuel. So I pulled the line at the carbs and tried to turn it over and there was fuel getting to the carbs. So now when I turn it over it just keeps turing and turing as if there were no spark. I tried a different coil with no luck. What else should I check??
