<x-charset iso-8859-1>Ill let jim handle the dist # Q's Its not watts its volts. Watts is for power and 20000 watts would have your car glowing red. The voltage output rating of the coils is a relatively meaningless number... unless there is something bad in the system it will never get that high and IF there were a problem and it did you would stress parts like the cap and rotor and they would eventually fail. heres what to keep in mind... the voltage will only get to a certain point till it jumps the gap between the rotor and cap and across the plug gap ... its about 10K volts per inch of air. Our systems with their little squatty distrubutor caps have to remain at fairly small plug gaps and fairly low voltages or the caps start to arc and fail. So, stick to any coil of a decent manf and your fine. keith ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org </x-charset>
