I think the consensus here a while back is 1776cc could work w/ the stock
FI.  But no higher without other mods.  I'll bet the FI would work best if
you kept stock displacement, though.

Maybe the best way to get it back to spec is to hook the car up to an
emissions tester.  Adjust until you get a good combination of smooth running
and acceptable emissions.

Ground strap on tranny nose in good contact with ground?
