you're grounding them on the horn ring?  My parents' '69 Beetle does that!

	I've driven a couple of VWs that do that.  My '69 Squareback needs
a little jiggle of the hazard switch now and again so that the blinkers
actually blink when I signal a turn.  If I jiggle the hazard switch the
"wrong" way, the turn signals won't blink when I signal a turn.

	My gut feeling is that each of these three problems is unrelated.
Each electrical, of course, but each deserves separate diagnosis.  I'd
start with the horn; it's a pretty simple system.
