I took the other side of the engine tin off my Type 34, and guess what ... no oil cooler! I guess I wasn't surprised, because who would have thought that the Type 3 engine had an oil cooler on both sides. The A/C hoses got in the way of getting the 2nd engine tin off. But otherwise, no problems. I sandblasted the first engine tin (the one that covered the oil cooler), a hookup that covers the A/C pulley, a front license plate bracket, and the 2nd engine tin. But the air cleaner and a shroud in back of it were too long to fit in the sandblaster. I thought of springing for a "spot sandblaster" so I could sandblast the air cleaner and shroud. Does anyone have any experience with a "spot sandblaster". Also, the cover over the engine (about 1.5 feet x 3 feet) could use some sandblasting. I painted the first four parts black, and they look super. Don Garies dgaries808@aol.com ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
