The charge plug has to go somewhere :) Since you usually charge while
parking, the front end is a popular place for the charge plug. And the gas
filler is the perfect size for the "official standard" conductive charge
port.

Also, I should point out that I'm going to drive it around a bit in
conventional form while I save up the big bucks for the conversion parts.
That'll also give me a chance to sort out the various non-drivetrain
problems that the car has and any others that crop up.

And I should mention that I haven't bought the thing yet, and might need to
sort out my car situation a bit more before I do.
