I have been looking through the list archives but can't seem to find an
answer. Could the replacement wide floorpan halves and sections for
Type1 Karmann Ghias marketed by US companies like "Rocky Mountain
Motorworks", "So.Cal. Imports" and "Innovations in Fibreglass" be used
for Type 3 vehicles. These floorpan halves and sections will fit the181
("Thing" in USA) and the147 ("Fridolin" in Germany) because these
vehicles are built on the wide Type 1 Karmann Ghia floorpan but will
they also fit the wide Type 3 floorpan? Or, is the shape and width of
the Type 3 floorpan just too different?
