This is a bit confusing because 72 calipers should not even FIT on 
a 69, unless you changed the steering knuckles, too. 66-71 use 
the smaller early caliper, while late 71 thru 73 use the larger late 
caliper. Perhaps the calipers you used were off a 71. If so, that 
would be fine.
