Yeah, I got the feeling that if I called the store, they would happily sell me a set off the shelf (for less than 1k I can only hope). I will sit tight and stick with the stock bumpers I have now. Besides, she's not going to be ready for public viewing for a couple more months! Maybe by then I can score a set elsewhere for cheaper. They are awfully pretty. I swear I saw a set on a car at the VWClassic.. -----Original Message----- From: Vdub Bus [mailto:vdubme@yahoo.com] Sent: Monday, June 18, 2001 9:03 PM To: Carrie Elm; Type3 Subject: Re: [T3] Bumpers for Sale?! I've found ebay to be quite an interesting diversion. The bumpers that you are eyeing are probably going to show up in the VWISPWest.com catalog in the near to distant future, as the seller tends to auction alot of parts that you find on that site (check out the domain part of his email). Most people (with excess money to blow) seeing supposedly rare items tend to get excited and end up paying more that they would out of the catalog. One individual selling an electronic ignitions actually added all the ebay fees to his catalog price to set the minimum bid. A little nosing around can tell you if you are getting a bargain or paying too much. Check the current auctions of the seller to find out if they are businesses or individuals. You can also tell if they require you to pay sales tax. Mike 66 fasty (waiting patiently for future plans) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
