Hi, There are no new type 3 oil coolers. Use a can of spray brake cleaner on the outside of the cooler. After you have done that, turn the cooler so that the two oil holes are facing up. Pour paint thinner into the cooler till it overflows. If you do this in a large aluminum turkey pan then the paint thinner can be poured into it, besides catching the overflow. Now pour out the paint thinner and refill it one more time. Now pour this out also. Poor until full again for the 3rd time, and let set for 12 hours. Pour this out and then rinse/flush 2 more times. A gallon of paint thinner runs about $6 at Home Depot. Wear plastic or rubber gloves . Good Luck.
