If you plan to lift the body off with a guy at each corner and set it down elsewhere, it won't matter much and may be easier to leave the engine in. But if you plan to roll the pan out from under the body raised on sawhorses, it may be more bother. Hope that helps. Bob Myers p.s. I did it the latter way.
