I did something stupid today! I wanted to replace a rear brake hose and too often I've worn off the threads on the hard line when seperating the two. I decided to heat up teh union nut on the hard line with a torch first. It occurred to me that I should at least open the bleeder valve at the wheel but since the line up to the MC was disconnected I didn't bother. Sure enough before the nut got red hot KA-BAM the rubber hose exploded, showering me with rather hot brake fluid. This is why I don't have my own do-it-yourself TV show. Now, How do I go about removing the old transmission oil seal in the rear bearing housing?
