Usually this will go in rather easily. Just press down firmly on the 
dist while you turn the rotor. At some point it will snap down a 
significant distance. Don't stop when it just catches a bit, that's 
not the position you're looking for; keep turning and pressing down 
until you feel the dist drop down nearly 1/4."
