I think I usually pay about two bucks for a new set of Bosch points. You can buy a lot of points for the cost of the electronic ignition. I keep a spare set in the glove box, and basically consider them a disposable wear item like oil. (My bus had a Pertronix in it when I got it, so I run it and it seems fine.
