Hey All, Well, this not Volkswagen related but I found it kind of interesting. I went to the local car show this weekend. The one where they have all the new models for the year. Well, they didn't have a VW section but I did stop by the Volvo section. To my surprise there was a 1966 P1800 Volvo (I think that is what it is called) there. This was the car the was put in the Genus World Records for having the most mileage of any car in the world. I think it had 1.7million miles on it. I don't see how that is possible. Does anyone know of a VW that has anywhere close to that mileage? Also the spec. sheet it showed that the engine was rebuilt at over 600,000 miles. I didn't know an engine could last that long. Anyway I just found the whole thing amazing and though I would pass it on. Also the car look amazing for 1.7 million miles. Question: I'm almost ready to remove the shell from the pan. Any ideas on the easiest way to do this? Also what kind of stand should I build? 2x4's maybe? give me some ideas. I have about 6 or 7 bolts to go and some mis. stuff before I remove the shell. Well, time for me to go to work.
