It's not really the dash itself that continues all the way back, but raised
trim pieces on the doors and along the interior side panels that match the
dash texture.  The trim pieces "meet up" at the ends of the dash to make
them look like extensions of the dash itself.  Dave, are you listening out
there?  Did anybody else at the recent SFBay Oakland meeting notice or take
pictures?  There are lots of interesting things on that car.  I thought Dave
was a subscriber--speak up and brag about your car, Dave!

By the way, Dave has good old-style dashes, but they ain't cheep!
