You can also get an adapter to allow using your 1/2 inch breaker bar with a
3/4 inch drive socket.  In any case, you will probably need a four foot
pipe to extend the length of your breaker bar handle and get the mechanical
advantage to go over 200 ft/lbs of torque.  If you find a picture of the VW
special tool for this purpose, you will find that it is a socket at the end
of a long pipe.
