RE: [T3] wheel width... (with a twist)

Okay, what about 16x7" Porsche Fuchs wheels on an IRS platform? I really
want a set for my 69 Notch, and am considering changing over to
Porsche-drilled brakes (or Porsche brakes if possible) to accommodate them.
Maybe 7 would put too much rubber on the ground and I should just look for
6's?

Any advice or lessons learned?

Thanks,

The absolute only way would be to put eaRly beetle SHORT axles and tubes on
there. I think the axles off like an oval window are the shortest ones.
you need some of those to fit 7" wide wheels on the back.
